Our story

A relocation business built from a real relocation.

LRS Down Under didn't start in a boardroom. It started in a small house in Liverpool, surrounded by half-packed boxes, immigration paperwork and a very confused English Bulldog — and it's grown into support for anyone moving to Perth, from interstate or overseas.

The founder's story

From Liverpool to Perth, the long way around.

My husband and I made the decision to move to Australia while our daughter was still a baby. Like a lot of families, we didn't have the luxury of arriving together. He flew out first — alone — to find work, secure housing and set up the fundamentals of a life we hadn't seen yet.

I stayed behind in the UK with our daughter, spending months navigating visas, medicals, cargo shipping, pet transport for our English Bulldog, and endless emails to Perth letting agents at 3am because the time difference was brutal.

When we finally arrived in Perth as a family, I remember thinking two things at once: we did it, and nobody should have to do this alone.

My nursing career has also taken me to different parts of Australia, so I know the other version of this too — arriving somewhere unfamiliar, working out how a new community runs, and building a life from scratch without the international paperwork.

LRS Down Under was created for the people I was, back in that Liverpool living room, wondering where to even begin — and for anyone organising a Perth move from somewhere else entirely.

Mental Health Nursing

Why a nurse makes a different kind of relocation specialist.

My background is in Mental Health Nursing. That work taught me to slow down, listen properly, hold space for people in genuinely stressful moments, and stay methodical when everything around them feels chaotic.

Most relocation agents are administrators, and half of this job honestly is admin — forms, deadlines, agents, catchments. I do that part properly. But it's the other half that people are usually left to handle alone.

Because at three months in, waiting on your fourth rental application and quietly wondering whether you've upended your family's life for nothing, what you need isn't another checklist. It's someone who has sat with that feeling before — professionally and personally — and isn't unsettled by it.

That's the difference, and it's the reason people stay in touch long after the keys are handed over.
